I am a little confused about tipping.

I want to say I've worked in the food industy as a server and in general I tip very well, usually not less than 20%.

That said, I'm not really fond of having my tip included in the price.

Now, there are three of us dining. And we are on the dining plan.

Are we going to be TOLD how much to tip or will it be 'suggested' on the receipt. I do realize dinner shows have the gratuitiy included in the price... can I tip extra if I'm inclined?

And how does it work for buffet or meals like Cinderella's Table?

10% at Pepper Market - is that a have to or again suggested? (Not that I won't tip!)

I just like to tip appropriately - and although I am expecting to get great service and I am a reasonable guest thereby likely tipping 20%+ most meals - I really detest the idea of having to tip 18% if the service is really sub-par.

Also, can I put ALL tips on my KTTW card? I would just prefer to do that vs having to carry around small change, especially where we are on the dining plan and won't really need to carry money.

Thanks for any insight!

If you are on the DDP, the gratuity is not included and you can leave whatever amount you fell comfortable with on the table. If you are not on the DDP, the gratuity (10%) is included in your bill. If the service was good, I usually leave more on the table because I never use the DDP. Its blurry but you can make out the info on the bottom of the ticket.

As for your KTTW card, no, you can not add cash gratuities to the card and the PM has no way of adding the gratuity to your card. You will need cash.

At the Pepper Market, a 10% gratuity is added to meal purchases if you eat inside. If you get your meals to go, there is no gratuity.
