Trying to confirm the NJEA convention, but it looks like we may be there from November 8-14. That way if I take the kids out of school half day on Tuesday the 8th they will only miss 2 full days.

Are these still your dates? If so, I had to change our dates in August and we will have overlap, but we will be at POP.

Oh Yeah those pins do go quick. Thank God for EBay. I used to have a fit when the kids traded for those "cutie" pins. Their taste is a bit more refined now. Yeah I am very careful with any pins lots from China.

I actually have a sedesma Monsters Inc Randel pin. Its cheezy looking but I just had to have it.

I don"t think they will open up the Free DDP because it runs to until the middle of our trip.

Work really stinks lately and I cant wait to feel some Disney Magic and watch that sunset at CSR.

Well I figured I can update a little.
Since I figured there is No Chance in Heck that that the Free Dining is coming my way, nor a % off either I went ahead and payed off the balance on the trip. It was due September 26th anyway.
I have secured my tickets for Universal also. The Mrs has decided we could do both parks in one day. Now comes the fun part seeing which day to do each park and where to spend our off days.

I have had to make some rather expensive purchases lately...so my Disney points have been growing. Kids should have about $150 to spend while down there. Gotta love free money.

Hearing everyones trip reports has me has me more excited than my kids..if that is possible.

Have a ton of trader pins for the trip...let the mugging of the Disney Employees begin
Free dining offer will be available for next year in August/September.

Sorry...I know this is not trip related but I just have to share.

My Disney Princess just tried out for our local 14U travel softball team (she turns 13 in November) and I just got the email that she made it. I am so proud as they are a big and respected organization and produce a lot of High School Varsity players.
I guess everything happens for a reason. Her old travel team's coach had told me he hated to lose her but the people running the league clamped down on the town teams having outside district girls playing. They are great people and really helped her make the transition from Recreation to Travel ball. He even offered to call the other coach to talk about my daughter.
I already see a difference in the practice styles of the organizations and the new coach looked at me and asked who taught her to play outfield? Even though she primarily plays 1B and pitches it pays to have an old man who was pretty good in his heyday!!! Of course that was like 65lbs ago UGH how the heck was I ever 6 foot 1 and 155 Lbs?

Believe me I do. My DD is hooked on softball. The son hasn't picked his sport yet. He's has always been good in soccer, but recently has found the rec track and Field program and absolutely loves it. Watched him run cross country as part of his middle school team yesterday. I am so proud of them both!!!

Mickey mail came yesterday with the magical Transportation tickets and luggage tags.

Wierd that the booklet which held the transport ticket didnt have the usual coupons for 15% off food at Planet Hollywood, free mini golf, and such. In the past they were always in there. wondering if they are doing it differently now. scratch

Doc-they are sending these two items separately now. I was in a panic that we didn't get them with the DME stuff. They arrived about a week later. See, i told you your trip would be here before you knew it!!!

I got Mickey mail today, and it included the luggage tags and the coupon/voucher booklet in one. But we're not using DME, so maybe that's why. Less than a month to go- yipee!

Thank You Buzz

I called Disney Reservations regarding the new %off offer. Saved $266.00 which I put right onto my KTTW card since the trip had already been paid off. Nice not to shell out so much cash when down there.

27 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!

Just got my Disney Rewards statement. It seems I have amassed 141 disney dollars/points for our trip. Add that to the $266 I saved and that is $407 spending moolah.

The Mrs doesn't know but I have barely touched the money I have been squirrling away for the past year. I have a good amount to book a vacation for the family when the kids get out of school in June/July. I was thinking possibly Punta Cana or the Bahamas. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions??? The Mrs has been asking for a relaxing vacation...I guess I owe her that much, even if I will miss Disney. Hmmmm Maybe sneak in a 3 day trip in the fall!!

I am a little concerned about the boat thing...but I have a friend who gets car sick in the back seat of a car,and she LOOOVES cruises. Says it doesn't feel like a boat. I will let you know in a little over a year.

Cruises are great. Doc, I wasn't a big fan either at first. I felt the boat rock when we first departed but once I got my sea legs, it was all good. We hit a storm with 10ft waves and you could feel it more then but I did not get sick at all.

I can swim. but cannot tread water. All I think aout is "Iceberg dead ahead". pale or "Man Overboard". affraid

I really wanted to go to Mexico, but with drug cartels shooting up hotels and American Tourists being killed....ummmm maybe Bahamas is a better trip.

When we went on the cruise, we went to the Atlantis Hotel & Casino in the Bahamas. When we went to leave the resort in our cab, all the hotels employees decided to go on strike and would not let anyone enter or exit the property. Our cab driver decided to try to leave via the sidewalk. All of a sudden we were surround by the group and I thought they were going to tip our vehicle over. Our driver got out and started to argue with all of them. It turned out that they were all nice people, they were just trying to get their point across to management. They finally let us pass after a short time but for a moment, being in a different country, it can get scary. nikki was young at the time and all I could think of was how was I going to protect my family.
Other than that, the cruise is awesome and the best part is their island, castaway cay.
