Just wanted to point out something that caught me by surprise at Pepper Market. If I had read more of this forum I see that Buzz does cover it, but figured I would share as well.

If you have the Disney Dining Plan the gratuity is not included in your bill. Usually they can charge this back to your room. We are used to that from previous trips. At Pepper Market they can not do that. So if you would like to leave a gratuity (normally they charge 10% on all purchases) you must have cash. I am so used to not carrying my wallet that we got stuck the first day. I felt bad because the server did get our drinks and clear our table. I had to make a trip back to the room and then hunt our server down.

I am curious... I was 99% sure that if you are on the DDP that the gratuity is covered with the DDP if you eat at the Pepper Market?? Now I need to make sure that I either, A)leave a small tip for them getting our drinks, or B) get our food to go and eat outside or in our room. I don't want to leave a waitress without a tip, but this being the "counter service" of the resort I always thought that on the DDP you arent still required to pay the tip... Can someone confirm what is actually expected here?

During our first stay - we were always told it was included.

Boy were we surprised when we were there in 2009 - we were told it wasn't.

Not sure which is really correct.
