Just to let everyone know, our resident CSR concierge CM, John, will be having surgery on Monday, 4/18, so I just want to be the first to wish him well and send him magic and pixie dust that everything goes as planned and he has a speedy recovery.

Quote :
Hi! I have the date for my surgery. It will be on Monday the 18th at Florida Hospital South. The actual surgery will be between 12 and 2 pm and should last about two hours.

From John...

I am well following two surgeries. The first placed three stents to overcome
an Anterior Aortic Aneurysm. All is well there now! A couple of weeks ago, I
had a second surgery to remove some cancer cells from my left (and only)
kidney. The surgeon is very certain that we got all the cancer and I still
have 3/4th of a kidney (no dialysis!!!!!!!!!!!). Now it will just take a
long time to get my strength back. I don't have much endurance and pain
killers can either make me (more) dopey or make my whole body itch. The
bottom line is I am fixed and just need to recuperate from all of the abuse
we have given my poor insides during the last month.

I hope to be able to go back to work in a couple of months (I will have to
work that out with Coronado). For now, I am doing as much moving as my body
allows and then resting. Obviously, I am doing a lot of resting; but Theron
and I were able to walk all around World Lagoon (with lots of stops) and see
Davey Jones last Friday. The next day I went to watch Theron at his
Saturday tennis round robin and then came home and pretty well crashed for
the rest of the day.

Sorry for not sending this out earlier; but I haven't really had the energy
to write a few paragraphs.

Another update from John. Sounds like he is recover quite well.

Quote :
Just got the results back from a comprehensive blood and urine analysis and everything looks much better than we expected. Looks like the kidney is just a churnin and a burnin! I am also happy to say that I have no blood pressure or diabetes issues. The only things out of normal range are red cells and they are much closer to normal than would be expected this soon after surgery........I guess I’m just a tough old codger.

John
