We were on a bus to Epcot Sunday or Monday and it went to BB first. The driver pointed out some armadillos there.

Got a chance to see the gator at CSR back in 2006. He was caught later that week. Got some good shots of him. He looked like he was waiting to be feed.

No, I'm not that close to him. Its just the telephoto lense.

CSR goes all out to create the authentic southwest theme by bringing in armadillos.

No, they are afraid of you as well. Just about ever body of water in FL has gators. That's why they do not allow swimming in those bodies of water.

WDW will let them stay in the lakes until they reach 4 ft in length and then they are moved to the everglades.

We had a very funny encounter last Monday at bus stop 4-there were about 20 of us there waiting for buses and all of a sudden right across the street we saw a smaller size black pig fly across the street, then shortly after about 4 baby pigs follow. It was so extremely odd! Everyone said they thought they were wild. My husband tried to get close enough real fast for a pic but he wasn't fast enough, he took video with his phone but it's really hard to see. Wish I could post pics. It was really funny because one guy said "wow, little pigs, what a sight! We live in New York City so the only pigs we saw are on our plates".....

I am far from a critter person, don't like them, 2 years ago at the POFQ, because we were 1st floor, I guess when the maid service comes in and out, that night coming home after a long day in the parks and wanting a shower, my daughter who wears glasses, jumped in the shower, and thought she saw something moved, reached and put on her glasses and there was a little lizzard ( or whatever those little things are ) crawling around on the wall, well, i thought she would die, she came out screaming, and ME, i couldn't do anything, because I am also no good in situations like that, called down to front desk, must have taken them a hour to sent someone to the room to get it, they did refresh the bathroom with all new towels, but again laying in bed, I was thinking what if there is another one somewhere, OMG, so I know sounds stupid, they are little and harmless, but all the same, and i know this is Florida, and I don't really mind seeing them outside, but don't like the thought of in room, Jimmy crickets, little lizzards, stay outside. Another, the Alligator, is that the same water you can take one of those little racer boats out in ?

We saw the alligators loads this time on our trip which was nice. We also saw the turtles on our last day as we were waiting for ME to come pick us up, it was nice sitting by the lake with a drink watching the turtles

Also saw a baby turtle (which the CMs told us was a snapping turtle?) on the path from the dig site to the bridge between Casitas and Ranchos. It looks big but was about 6" wide
