They still need to reveal the menu for both lunch and breakfast! I hope it compares in breakfast quality with the Wave's and the Captain's Galley's, buffet though they are both table service credits and this will be counter. It's only a couple $ off in price.

I'm confused. Isn't Pepper Market a food court? So it is a buffet only for breakfast? You can't just go in and pick certain items you want and pay only for those items? You have to pay the $14.95?! Why would they do that?

cheers

Thanks for this info. We hope they will make this a permanent change for when we go in March. I've heard the old system was not so great and no one liked the 10% tip. So glad they are doing away with that for breakfast and lunch.

Also, glad to hear that they will most likely still be on the DDP for 2012.

For the one month test, it will be both. A buffet for breakfast & lunch and the food court for dinner. According to what I been told, you will not be able to pick a la carte items during the buffet. You can do that at Cafe Rix.

The buffets still looks to have stations. There will be 5 stations at the Pepper Market breakfast buffet and 7 at lunch.

Breakfast Buffet· Adult - $14.99 · Child – Ages 3-9 $8.99. Ages 2 and under eat free.
Lunch Buffet· Adult Buffet $16.99 · Child - Ages 3-9 $9.99. Ages 2 and under eat free.

Pepper Market will continue to honor the Disney Dining Plan Quick-service Restaurant meal entitlement for all three meal periods (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The automatic service charge will be eliminated and an “optional tip” line will be added to the receipts (there will still be a service charge for dinner).

Soda, Tea, Milk, Hot Chocolate, Coffee & Juice are included. Specialty Drinks, Specialty Coffee's and Alcohol are not included.

There will not be any a la carte items available, but they will do everything to accommodate guests needs.

BREAKFAST - 7:00am to 11:00am
LUNCH - 11:30am to 2:00pm

MENUS

Lunch pictures provided by Joe, Michelle (lovethattink) and Anakin too! Thanks guys!!

Okay, we're on the DDP. If we eat breakfast at the Pepper Market, does that mean:

1) We can only get one plate of food from one of the stations since we only get one entree and a drink?

OR

2) Since it's a buffet, can we eat one plate of food from one station and if we're hungry enough go up for a second plate from another station?

I know the DDP say that it's good for one buffet or one entree + drink. It's just that we never done the DDP before and it's still a teeny bit confusing to me.

Thanks!

If you are feeling hungry, and think you can handle multiple entrees, this offering is perfect for you and offers good value for money.

Hmmm....It would really speed things up at the busy times if people filled their own plates. This is a very strange way of doing a buffet.

I know...it really doesn't sound like a buffet. it sounds like the same set up, you can just get as many entrees as you want for one set price. I can't see this lasting either...not for the price they are charging. Could lead to a lot of wasted food.

Unless they are just trying it this way for now before creating a whole buffet set up for the 30 day test.

Hopefully that's what they are doing. One of the biggest benefits I saw of the buffet was they could move people through faster at the busy times. This set-up seems to defeat the whole purpose.

Michelle (lovethattink) is at the PM as we speak. She states the portions are smaller but you can go up for more. Everything is ready so there is no wait. You can ask for smaller portions. Tips for breakfast and lunch go right to the server, dinner tips still pooled among all CM's. Menus posted above.

Sounds like there could be hope. I guess I'll experience for myself in 9 days!

The offerings sounds fantastic- really something for everyone- or, for those like me who can't make up their minds, a little of everything! If they do decide to keep the buffet, I could see a small re-model in the future.

We really enjoyed our lunch!

A review from WDWmagic said the portions were large. That was not the case today. The portion size was perfect. The chicken quesadilla was a nice sized slice of a quesadilla. Same with the meats, but portion size was perfect.

I got Tilapia Vera Cruz, chicken quesadilla, mushroom soup, and strawberry shortcake. The tilapia was very fishy tasting for tilapia. I didn't really care for it. The chicken quesadilla was awesome as usual. I went up and got a 2nd of that! I had to ask for the guacamole and pico. The strawberry shortcake was a half portion. It was perfect.

I didn't get any pastries but they were also miniaturized.

Pictures of everything to come. Need to find where I put my charger.

Thanks for checking it out and posting the pics, we all appreciate the effort!!

Is this pricing in line with what it cost for a meal before? We were on the DP so I didn't really pay attention to the pricing last time.

Yes, it's in line. I usually got either a quesadilla or a fajita. The quesadilla was around $10. The fajita was $13.99. Usually I'd get icecream, $3.95.

If eggs benedict was on the menu, I might be tempted to go and try it out solo this weekend. But the breakfast menu really doesn't appeal to me, just the biscuit and gravy and that's alot to pay for biscuit and gravy imho.
