PostSubject: Doc's Vacationing in Disney Yet Again    Fri May 25, 2012 5:29 pm

Hi All

I actually made the reservations a while ago. November 7th - 12th. Last years trip we had a great first trip to CSR. We never received any kind of bounce back offer before leaving (I do not have a smart phone with email just the basic one). When I got home and finally got to my computer there was the bounceback offer. Of course it was after we left so I figured we lost out on it. There was also a CSR survey regarding out trip. At the end of the survey there was a spot for additional comments. I had written that I was dissapointed in not getting a bounceback due to not having a smart phone and my friends usually getting one. I sent it into cyber space figuring Id never hear from them. Two or three days later my wife comes and gets me and says Disney is on the phone. To my surprise the lovely young lady on the phone said she was sorry we didnt get the offer, and that they would be giving me one. She said discuss it with the wife and to call her in a week.
So...since the kids missed so much school work going for the full week last year we decided to use the November teachers convention dates and have the kids miss only 2 days.

We are currently scheduled for Wednesday November 7th to Monday November 12th at Pop Century. The kids requested PC as they said they like the Disney decor better....but did say they wanted to go back to CSR "when they get older" LOL.
We also got the Free meal plan and decided to take the 2 counter service meal plan. We plan on making reservations for one or two restaurants too. Would really like California Grill. We are only doing two days in the park (Kids Pick). The kids said they want to go to the BoardWalk area so that fine with me. And of course a jaunt to DTD. Hoping for a more relaxed Disney.

Will update more as we start making reservations.

Also, I scheduled a Mexian vacation for August. Cant wait. This will be the lounging on the beach/pool dont do a freaking thing vaca that me and the Mrs so deserve. Place has plenty to do for the kids and is absolutely beautiful. Sandos Playacar in CanCun. This one was thanks to taking extra on my pension loan when I made repairs on the house. Forward thinking on my part Very Happy Wink

Oh man Doc, going to miss you by 5 days. We leave on 11/2. We just had a meal at CG and it was great. At MK now waiting for our Splash FP time.

One of the days the planets will align and we will meet up.

Just got back from the daughters first softball game for the big Memorial Day Tourney thats run here in town. Lost 8-2.
Have to work concessions tomorrow. They have me on fries. Have to channel my 1981 McDonalds knowledge....

That's great Doc! That's pretty much the exact time we went last year, and the weather and crowds were great. You should be able to do MVMCP if you wanted to, and the Osbourne Lights should be up at DHS. Since you're only doing two park days, will ya'll be getting park hopper tickets?

To tell the truth I am not a big fan of hopping. Like to stick to one park and enjoy. Too much pressure to get through and out of one park and into the other. Depending on how it all goes I may surprise them and add a third day. We will see.

Sounds like 2 great vacations in the planning! I like POP, it's a fun resort! If you have any questions about POP, feel free to ask away. Stayed there many times. 70's is our favorite section, it's near the lake and the boys like to fish. Part of 70's is preferred the other part is standard. It's just not that close to the pool, it's half way between the Hippy Dippy pool and the Computer pool.

You are going to Mexico in August!!?? Very cool!!! Couldn't talk your wife into C6 in Orlando? Though C6 is bad timing for the kids, it's when most kids go back to school.

Mexico in August? Isn't it going to be a tad warm? We are doing a Disney cruise to Mexico in November. We were going to do our typical first week in September vacation, but I thought...hey....why not go somewhere warm when it is cold in Delaware??? And bonus, it is the week of DS's birthday, so he is so excited he is near peeing his pants. California Grill.... If you can get in there, do it. And co-ordinate your ressie with Wishes, it is just AWESOME.

Sorry, havent been around in a while. The Bad Guys have been keeping me busy...LOL Lots and Lots of overtime.
Took a bit but we finally got all our passports, and yesterday picked up all the paperwork for our Mexico trip.
Can't believe we are leaving Friday.
Just found out from a friend here in town that there is an excursion where you can see sea turtles as well as swim with /see Manatees. Gotta check that out as the DD will plotz if she gets to do that.

There is also an excursion to Mayan ruins. Can't wait as work has been miserable lately.

Off to Mexico tomorrow. Never fails the old Docmidnite vacation luck has once again reared its ugly head. Hurricane Ernesto just blew through Mexico...and my son woke up with a 101 fever this AM.
Hopefully have some nice pics when I get back.

LOL.....No not kidnapped. Just it has been non stop since coming home. The bad guys at work are on a roll amd the kids tryouts for travel soccer and travel softball are in full swing.

Working on the pictures. Seems when Shutterfly transfered my pictured from the Kodak gallery they missed 700+ photos. They are currently on a Boba Fett (Im such a geek) memory stick. Afraid to link my Mexico photos until I get shutterfly in order. Suufice to say it is BEAUTIFUL there.

I cant wait for November to roll around. Disney here we come

It was hard when DD got into high school for us too. We never took her out then. When she was in high school, we went June once, Feb vacation, and 2 during April vacation. It can work, just more crowded.

Thinking maybe late August. Florida is back in school, hot but a little less crowded. I know girls Volleyball is already started mid August. Oh well they have to allow for summer vacation.

Also would love to go to Star Wars Weekend.

Rumor has it that Celebration VII might be back in florida. C6 was awesome, that would be a great time to come back! Though SWW are excellent too!

Just got an imprompto schedule together:

Weds 7th: Arrival. We should be at Pop Century about 2PM. We will take a short trip to DTD and eat at Planet Hollywood. Probably do a little walking around.

Thurs 8th: If its warm enough the kids will probably hit the pool for a while. Later on the wife is going to see La Nouba and the kids want to go to Disney Quest. Yeah I know its 2 days in a row at DTD

Fri 9th Hollywood Studios. Hopefully hit the rope drop.

Sat 10th Magic Kingdom for the extra magic hoursopen til 1AM.

Sun 11th The kids actually want to go to the Boardwalk Area. I am actually thinking of surprising them and buying tix for Animal Kingdom and hitting that park early and then the Boardwalk at night.

Mon 12th...a return to reality.

Tried to get res at California Grill....they still have no openings. Sad

Sounds like a great plan! With no Disney trip anywhere in our future, I have to live vicariously through others- so thanks for that! Can't wait to hear what your wife thinks of La Nouba and the kids of Disney Quest! Keep sharing!

Shes been dying to see this show, but is as cheap as all heck. Didn't want to spend the $90+. I just bought the ticket and told her she is going.

As far as Disney Quest....Anywhere with OLD arcade games is great for me..Q-Bert, Missle Command, Joust, Donkey Kong Jr....I am in heaven. The kids are looking forward to the virtual reality stuff.

Can't wait to get there. Need a break from the "Bad Guys"
