Had to share

Most enjoyable article. I remember when this first started. Both my son and daughter were picked out of a group of children standing in front of the stage. (Thats how they used to do it I guess)
I had a picture of my daughter who was I think 6 at the time literally leaping off her feet at Darth. The funniest thing is the kids are taught like 6 moves they are supposed to use against Darth.....There is always one in the crowd to go off script. One kid I remember "attacked" The dark Lord and The Dark side of the force severely dispatched the young padawan. LOL. Darth blocked 2 strikes trying to disembowl him and spun the lightsaber out of the kids hands. He looked at the audience and said. "This one needs more training"

I have to say also that the Disney Visa is a great idea. I accumulate points during the year and have free money for the kids to use on gifts and such while down there. I tend to make as many big purchases as I can, including putting the Disney trip on it. By the time the trip comes I have $150-$200 or so that doesnt have to come out of my pocket. cheers

Thanks! What great memories, I know I will never forget it. There was one kid in our crowd who thought he really was a Padawan. He went after Darth Vader with such determination I was a little afraid of an incident. Smile

I actually have the Disney Visa as one of my potential topics. Just got ours this year with a $200 gift card promo. Did the same thing you described to buy some souvenirs. I also loved the private meet and greet with Mickey and free 5x7. It was a nice little perk. For a card with no annual fee it's got great perks. Of course we pay it off every month!
