PostSubject: water parks ?'s   Tue Mar 12, 2013 7:23 am

I'm thinking of adding the water parks & more option to our tickets, and an extra down day, since we already planned to do mini golf and were thinking about Disney Quest. I believe the site said you get an option per ticket day, and you have to use them within 14 days. (So if we have four day tickets, we'd get four times to do an extra, right?)
My questions are: Who has visitied the water parks before? Did you really enjoy it? Is it a lot of walking around? Are the lines long for each ride/slide? Is it a whole day thing? Is it too cold in Nov? Which one would you recommend?
Thanks for any help!

We used to do the water parks a lot when my daughter was young. We haven't been to a water park and/or DQ is some time. I felt that there is a ton of walking at the water park, especially stairs. to get up to the top of the slides. We love BB but that was before the new coaster slide was added at TL. Depending on your tolerance to the sun, yes, it can be a whole day thing. Lines can be long but probably not too bad in November.

DQ can be lots of fun. We loved the PoC virtual game and my DD loved making a virtual SM ride. We stopped going because Disney has stopped putting money into it for the most part. Nothing new so it got old for us but if you have never been or you kids like an arcade, this is the place.

Sydney
We went to DQ last year for the first time. Some of the Virtual Reality stuff was cool as well as the human pinball gamel. A lot of the video arcade games were broken. I was an 80s arcade rat so I found plenty that were working. My kids still laugh at daddy playing Robotron for a half hour (I think I spiked my blood pressure playing). If you are going at a slower time like me in November I found later at night the manager has the right to cut the admission fee in half. Wish I had known this before I paid. We went in at 6:00pm at 40+ per person and at 7pm the sandwhich board sign went ouside stating 1/2 price admission!!
