PostSubject: convention traffic   Wed Jan 29, 2014 3:57 pm

Hi, my family is booked for 5/15-21, 2014 and there will be quite a few conventions in that time frame.  How much impact will it have on our stay?!

welcome to the CSR Forum!

Depending on the type of group that is there, many times you will not even see them because the convention center is a separate part of the resort and they spend the day there doing their thing. They can impact you meals if you eat at tradition times. Especially Cafe Rix. But sometimes their food is brought into the convention center.

The pool and buses are usually not as busy as other resorts again because the convention guests are busy attending meetings during the day.

You may see them in business attire, business casual and/or name tags. I've seen gowns, karate outfits, army personnel but none seem to bother my stay. My of the groups bring their families. I've met many families pool side that said they were there with a spouse attending a conference.

You'll be out of there before the FL Elks get there, they are like senior citizens on spring break. The stories I've been told...
