In my opinion, the Dig Site is the best area of the resort. You can't help but feel as if you are on a resort somewhere in Mexico. This wonderfully themed area includes a huge pool (120-by-90), mostly 4ft depth but ranges from 3ft 6" to 5 ft. There is also a sand volleyball court, the largest outdoor hot tub on WDW property, the Explorer's Playground, and the Iguana Arcade. The Dig Site pool is heated to 80ยบ and has wheelchair access.

Kids participate in the pool opening, water ceremony each morning at the pool. They chant to bring the water gods to life. Its a cute little activity they do with the kids along with other water games that they play during the day. kids can go as high as the first set of large vines crossing the pyramid.
