PostSubject: Coronado Room Service Review   Sun Mar 14, 2010 10:26 pm

Requested time 9 AM. Arrival time 8:50 AM. Unlike other resorts I have stayed at off property that just drop off a tray the CM went to the time and trouble to lay out the meal for us.

The food was hot and wonderful. For two adults and one child we ordered one each of the two offered children's meals (one was around $5-$6 and the other was $9.99 both came with a choice of milk or juice) we augmented with a croissant and a bagel with cream cheese and everyone was full.

The meal was served with entirely with plastic so there was nothing unsightly to leave outside the door for others to walk past and stare at. Also as Disney has a recycling can in every room we rinsed everything and added it to be recycled.

As a side note we checked out Cafe Rix to add fresh baked goods to our breakfast (which we love to do at Disney's Boardwalk Bakery) we found that by the time you ordered just two items such as the aforementioned croissant and a bagel with cream cheese at Cafe Rix you could have had room service (tip of 18% included in your bill and paid the $3 service charge) and ended up paying the same either way. Considering Cafe Rix employees seemed like teenagers with little more than gossip on their minds vs. the room service person who was genuinely surprised I was giving her extra money for her efforts, if you have time I highly recommend you spring for the room service.

I missed this review some how. Its sounds pretty good. In all our trips, I never tried the room service except for the cookies & milk once for DD. I'll have to give it a try, it sounds great! Thanks for sharing!!

Terrific!!!!! I may try room service just because it's at CSR. What a nice "luxury" before or after a day at the parks.

We have never done room service on any vacation but decided that since we are going all out (for us anyway!), we are definitely doing room service at CSR..I know it sounds silly, but I am most looking forward to when we first drive up to CSR for the first time, along with just walking into our first park..Can't wait to get my first look

That's my favorite part! Then I know I'm home.

we plan on ordering room service for breakfast the morning of our anniversary! This will be our first stay at CSR and I cannot wait! A whole wk just me and DH! This trip we plan on taking things slower so we plan on enjoying the beaches at CSR as well as a hammock, enjoy some drinks by the pool!

THanks so much for the review!

Just remember that in room dining uses 2 dining plan points per person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That could pay for Citrico's or Jiko
