PostSubject: Rates, codes or free dining??   Tue Apr 06, 2010 11:23 am

Is anyone waiting for one of these to book a trip? Would one of these discounts make you change your mind and go in 2010? I know I said I was going in 2010 but I'm starting to get that itch again.

What are all the other non 2010 trip people going to do if they make it too tempting to say no?

We are booked for August 28th-September 5th and I am REALLY hoping a deal for that time period comes along. Everything that has been offered so far has only been for trips through August 14th. In your experience, do you think that a deal for that time period will be offered?

It is our family's (my husband and I, and 3 daughters ages 1, 4, and 6) first trip and we have booked Coronado Springs! Thanks for this great site!

I hoping that something does come out. Traditionally WDW has released something for after Aug 14 in April so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for me, you and everyone else that wants to go.

ps - welcome to the CSR Forums!!

We are already booked with bounceback free dining so no itch for us to scratch there. But I have to admit that if a good enough fall/winter deal was announced, I would have a very hard time resisting.

A bounceback is an offer you receive in your room while you are vacationing. It's a special deal valid for certain dates as long as you book prior to check out. So, last summer, we had a bounceback offer in our room for free dining for certain dates this summer. All we had to do was call the extension on the flier and leave a $200 deposit before we checked out.

Kids Stay and Play FREE Package

Anyone can take advantage of an exclusive offer for stays most nights May 2 - June 3, 2010. When you purchase a 4-night/5-day Magic Your Way vacation package that includes room and theme park tickets, a child (ages 3-9) can stay in the same room and get 5-day theme park tickets for FREE!

Note that children ages 3-9 normally stay for free in the same room with their parents, so that is no savings. However, the savings on theme park tickets can be substantial, particularly if you have two adults and two children in the correct age range.

You must book by 5/8/10. The number of packages available at this rate is limited. Child must stay in room with adult. Tickets are for one theme park per day and must be used within 14 days of first use. Maximum of four guests per room.

No group rates or other discounts apply. Offers cannot be combined and are nontransferable. Children ages 3-9 must order from the children's menu where available. Advance reservations required.

Zman, thanks so much for looking out!! I did get the same thing today in an email-here is my situation though...We are booked for Aug 21-28. So today we started discussing it and my husband came up with us changing our dates to match this free dining promo so that we can be guaranteed free dining, you never know if Disney will offer another one for late in August. So I emailed our travel agent and asked her to let me know if it would be possible to keep the same total price on our vacation package-even if it means downgrading to a value (which for the record I don't want to do at all!) but be guaranteed the free dining..We don't know what to do!! It's not like we can take our time-if we are going to switch, we need to act now....YIKES
Thanks again!

I am not sure the QSDP pin is that great of a deal on a moderate resort. I could have booked the 30% and bought the QSDP or got $500 gift card for about the same price. On a value it was a better deal.

I thought of that too-I was really hoping for the 1 quick service and 1 table service deal...I wonder if that's what they would offer if I wait?? I hate these decisions....

Remember when you switch dates around, you could very possibly end up with different rack room rates because the dates may be in another season.

We've been doing free dining for 5 years now, each year with the bounceback offer left in our room. This past August was the first time we saw any kind of "leveling". By that I mean it was specified that if you booked a value resort, you would only qualify for the quick service dining plan - that doesn't include any table service meals. So although I have no idea if any of this means they will or won't offer a deal this year, if they do, I would not be surprised if isn't the exact same deal we've seen previously.

I know what you mean about the room rates! According to the Disney website, if we tried to book CSR on the week of Aug 8-14 for the 4 of us with the 7 day park hopper, water parks, etc--the rate is a whopping $5000!!!!!! Oh now no way on that! That's double what we are paying right now. That's why I was wondering if we would have to downgrade to a value-but I really wanted the table service included in any package...Wonder what everyone's opinions on this would be??
