PostSubject: Savings on Free Dining   Mon Jun 07, 2010 1:55 pm

My DH just asked this question and I had been wondering the same thing..I know someone on here will know, as I am sure it's obvious to everyone but me!! When going in August if they were not offering free dining, we would have to pay roughly $1200 for the plan for the 4 of us for one week. If you listen to the advertisement on tv it says that it saves a family of four around $600..I am consfused...Are they not advertising for a family of four to stay one week or am I just lost here...Thanks

I'm pretty sure they are saying that you COULD save up to $600 using the dining plan compared to paying for meals out of pocket.

What they DON'T say is that YMMV.

I am also pretty sure that the quote on the commercial is for the minimum stay, which is five days. And I am also guessing it is two adults and two "Disney" children (under 9) that they are quoting. How old are your kiddos?

Oh they are 13 and 10...I didn't know they were advertising for younger kids....Anyway, a deal's a deal, huh???? Even though we have to pay an additional $400 in order to get free dining-it's still a steal in my book!!

Hmm, and I just thinked another think...could that be the QSDP? This is split level free dining, QS at the Values and the regular at Mod and above.

That could be, I don't know, didn't think about that. Also interesting fact-I looked up our dates of 8/21-28 with dining and the only moderates it showed with dining were the POFQ and PORS. Whew, glad we got CSR booked back in Feb!! I get my favorite drink, a margarita on the rocks, about twice a year and I have been fantasizing about sitting poolside with my drink in my hand not thinking one single thought about work, school, bills...Just me and my rita in hand...Sigh sigh Very Happy
