PostSubject: Wilderness Lodge dining   Sat Aug 07, 2010 2:16 pm

My boyfriend and I have dinner reservations at 9 pm at Whispering Canyon cafe one night. I know we can take a ferry boat from Magic Kingdom to the resort. But how will be get back to Coronado? Does anyone know what time the ferry boats or buses run until? Thanks for your help!!!

You have to check the park hours and then you have two choices, take a bus to the park that is open and then switch to a CSR bus OR take a cab from WL to CSR.

Magic Kingdom is open the latest that evening - until 10 pm. I know we wont have a problem taking a ferry from MK to Wilderness Lodge, but I was concerned when we leave the restaurant. We called the 800 Disney Dining number and was told that there will be transportation running still to bring guests back to parks still. The man told us that they have no choice but to do that since they don't provide hotel to hotel transportation. Does this sound correct to you? Thanks for your help!

It sounds right.
The but transportation usually runs at least 2 hours after parks close to get everyone where they are going.
You should simply be able to hop back on the boat to the MK and then take a bus from there.
The boats will still be running to bring people back to CR, WL and FW.
Enjoy!

Thanks for your help! For some reason, I thought the ferry boats stopped when the parks close. Worst case scenario, we can hop on a Downtown Disney bus and then head from there to Coronado.

Yes, the buses will run at least 2 hours past park close so you should be good until midnight. Have a great meal!!

You may also want to consider a cab. We took one from WL back to CSR, and it was reasonable, and fast. It was late, we were exhausted and stuffed...it was a good choice.

It has been a year, but DH and I remember it being under $20, with tip. I am pretty sure we just handed the driver a $20 bill, and said "keep the change". He was pretty happy.
