PostSubject: ? about requesting a room   Thu Aug 12, 2010 10:18 pm

I've been checking out this site for months now, ever since I discovered it, shared with my husband, and we decided to go for it and stay at CSR! Wonderful information and pics! But I'm new to the forum. I called to put a room request yesterday, and the CM didn't seem so familiar with the resort, so I'm not sure if I should call back and ask again to make sure.
Basically, we don't want a parking lot view! A water view would be great, but we'd be just as happy with some landscaping too. We don't have to be near the dig site or main building, in fact we prefer quiet. My husband just had ankle surgery this week and will be renting a scooter, but still wants to be on an upper floor so it's not as noisy! I thought the Casitas 5 would be nice, but the CM was acting like only conventioners could stay there- is that true? What other sections would ya'll recommend for our preferences- 2 queen beds, non-smoking, not right near pools, not parking lot views?

the Casitas buildings are where CSR prefers to put their conventioners, but no anyone can end up there.

but, even if you request something you may not get it. Standard Disney practice. I wanted Casitas 5 last time ended up in Cabanas - which was fine, after it was all said and done. If you're mainly worried about the view, definitely push mainly for that. Water view, though, is more $.

Everyone looks for different things in their room location. Check out this link for some room suggestions. Casita 5 is not just for convention guests.
