hi!

First time visitor, showing up tomorrow.
I haven't been to WDW since '79 and all I knew back then was "get on the monorail and you're good to go!"

So, if I am staying somewhere in the Cabanas - not sure what section yet though - I assume Bus Stop 4 is my closest one.

If I am reading the bus stop sign correctly... does every Theme Park bus circle around the whole resort in the order of 1, 2, 3, 4?
So what if I wanted to take a bus to El Centro? (or is it close enough to just walk?)

And I think one night we have reservations at another resort. Do I have to take a bus to a Theme Park and then take a bus to the other resort?

Many thanks!

Park buses go to bus stop #2, #3, #4, and then #1 last. DtD buses go to bus stop #1, #2, #3, and then #4 last. They do this so you can take a bus to the main building instead of walking. The walk is close enough from the cabanas. Its about 1/4 mile.

Yes, take the first bus to a park and then to the resort you are dining. Or you can take a cab. Some resorts are best to go to DHS and then take the boat to the Yacht or Beach Club, or Boardwalk.

Ah I see - so there are two "bus lines" running.

Thanks - very helpful!

PostSubject: Buses at WDW   Wed Aug 26, 2009 11:18 pm

From CSR, there are individual busses running to each theme park and to DTD, on a continuous loop of around 20 minutes. So just at CSR there are 5 internal bus lines. There are also the DME busses to/from the airport and the Greater Orlando Lynx public transportation system has started running with stops within WDW. WDW busses run several Million miles each year!

CSR has a new internal shuttle bus that circles the resort making stops at bus stop 1, 2, 3 and 4 and then goes to Blizzard Beach and back through the resort again. It does this all day and the park buses no longer go to Blizzard Beach. This continues even after BB closed for rehab on Dec 22nd, so it will take you to play mini golf and serve as a internal shuttle year round.

Hey Buzz,

Was the internal shuttle still running while you were there?

I haven't heard anyone talking about it.

Yes, I saw a separate Blizzard Breach bus running. Not sure what they will do when it closes for the winter rehab though. The only bus stop I used was #1 and the sign didn't mention an internal shuttle. A Cm was at the stop every morning and I saw him as late as 10am.
