PostSubject: Rehab's at coronado?!?!   Sun Aug 22, 2010 7:44 am

Hi Guys, Coming up to 6 weeks before my holiday (vacation) to coronado springs, Can't wait!!!
BUT i'm a little put off by all the work been done around the time of my visit, Painting and elevator maintaining?
Has any one been to coronado when work is been done ? will it seem like a two week break on a building site ? Should i switch resorts???
Any help or advice would be great...... thank you

I stayed in cabana 8a one year while it was be painted. They were very quiet and all the work was down during the day while we were at the parks or pool. It wasn't an issue at all.

As far as the elevators go, the cabana buildings are only two stories so if they were closed, its not a major issue. I believe the casitas and ranchos have multiple elevators so closing one at a time would be a non issue.

Like Buzz said It really shouldn't affect your stay. I stayed at All Star Sports when they were repainting/redecorationg rooms. They were also done during the day and they worked in room clusters and then moved to the next section. Shouldn't be a problem.

thank you
For the reassurance guys, can't wait for this Holiday (Vacation) to get started!
Micky's Boo To You on october 17th halloween 2 Then my 40th birthday on the 18th! so should be still in the park at 12:01 to see in my birthday, could it get any better?
I have been to Orlando many times but never stayed on Disney property, always opted for Kissimmee 192 area.
With it been a (special) birthday, I decided to spend two weeks in Disney world finding my inner childhood again, Purchased a 'length of stay park pass' and got the quick service meal plan for the full two weeks free!!!! (Thanks Walt)
The only time i'm going to be off site is one night for universal's halloween horror, and perhaps a cheaper shopping spree (UK v.a.t is 17.5%)
Any further help/advice would be a great........

I was there for my 40th birthday too! We also did MNSSHP. That was terrific! Seeing the headless horsemen was worth it in itself.

as others said - you don't notice it. We were there when they were doing the last of the refurbs and aside from walking past it one day out of curiousity and watching them work you didn't notice it.
